ग़ुण गाईन आवडी

आयुष्यात ज्यांच्या हातून काही पाहण्यासारखे घोडे उभे राहिले आहेत असे हे शिल्पकार
फडके जेव्हा " अरे, घोडा म्हणजे काय ते आम्हाला कळलेच नाही!" असे म्हणतात, तेव्हा
मला थिरकवांसाहेबांच्या एका उद्ग़ाराची आठवण येते. एका मैफिलीत बेजोड त्रिताल वाजवून
उठले. जाणकारांनी डोक्यावर घेतले होते. कुणीतरी तारीफ केल्यावर सत्तरीतले खांसाहेब
म्हणाले होते, " बेटा, अभी अभी तितालेका अंदाजा आ रहा है !" – आताशा कुठे
त्रितालाचा अंदाज येऊन राहिला आहे !! (पु. ल. देशपांडे – ग़ुण गाईन आवडी)

His trio of films for Leone, A Fistful of Dollars (based on Akira Kurosawa’s Yojimbo), For a Few Dollars More with Lee Van Cleef, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly with Van Cleef and Eli Wallach, were dismissed by snooty American critics as "spaghetti westerns", but these popcorn-muncher flicks made Eastwood one of the biggest movie stars in the world.
